Tariq A. Khero joined the firm in 1998. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Khero was a law clerk at the Office of the Public Defender of San Francisco. He was also a legislative clerk to the Honorable Howard L. Berman in Washington, D.C., researching a wide range of domestic and international issues pertaining to pending congressional legalization.
He has been named a "Southern California Rising Stars" by Super Lawyers in 2005 and 2006.

Mr. Khero received his Juris Doctor degree from Hastings College of Law at University of California, San Francisco, and received Moot Court Honors while attending Hastings. Before receiving his J.D. degree, Mr. Khero received his B.A. degree in Political Science from Cornell University.
He is a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association, and Graduate of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers Trial Practice Institute.
Since 2008, Mr. Khero is the President of the Los Angeles City Commission, Los Angeles Department of Animal Services. From 2004 to 2008, he was a Commissioner on the Board of Animal Services Commission, originally appointed by then-Mayor James Hahn, and then re-appointed to the Commission by Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa in 2007. The Commission develops, reviews, and drafts policy for the Department, and holds regular public hearings.
Mr. Khero is admitted to practice law in California; the Federal District Court, Central District of California; and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
